Abstract

This research takes the theme "Social Religious Behavior from Abdurrahman Wahid's Perspective". This research is based on the fact that Indonesia is a country that has differences in ethnicity, race and even religion and these differences often lead to divisions, estrangement and even violence. The aim of this research is to find solutions to social religion in Indonesia by examining the interpretation of Abdurrahman Wahid in his book entitled "My Islam, Your Islam, Our Islam". This research is a type of qualitative research, namely library research. Using the thematic method, namely collecting verses and other arguments that discuss social and religious matters. Then use a contextual approach, namely everything that is related or appropriate to the situation. The data collection method uses the documentation method, namely utilizing transcripts, notes, books and other materials that can find information. And the data analysis method uses crisis discourse analysis, which is linguistic analysis by connecting it with context. The findings of this research are that Abdurrahman Wahid admits that in religion, differences are a blessing from Allah and differences cannot be responded to with estrangement or even division. The implications of Abdurrahman Wahid's interpretation of social religion are that society understands religious identity as unity, strength, mutual support even in differences.
