Abstract
This research aims to understand the description and factors that influence the subjective well-being of Indian dance transgender performers in Kertapati District, Palembang. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. The subjects in this research are three Indian dance transgender performers in Kertapati District, Palembang. The results of this research show that the three subjects have different subjective well-being. However the third subject had no regrets about the decision to become an Indian dance transgender performer, only two of the three subjects tended to have high subjective well-being. The positive impact felt by the subjects was the freedom to express themselves and show their full identity. Meanwhile, the negative impact that arises is feelings of anxiety about the future, but this does not have a big influence because the third subject accepts and surrenders to what Allah SWT has given him. The social relationship factor is the factor that has the most influence on the subjective well-being of the third subject, because positive support from the closest people influences the comfort and good experience of the third subject when he becomes an Indian dance transvestite performers.
