Abstract

This research aims to find out how the description of the teacher's role in stimulating education and emotional development in special needs children at SLB-B Negeri Pembina Palembang. This study used two subjects, ME and SDP, both of whom were teachers of children with special needs at SLB-B Nergeri Pembina Palembang. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection methods used were observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis technique used the Miles & Huberman interactive model. The researcher divided the themes that emerged in each subject into seven terms, namely Subject Background, Time Management, Obstacles and Challenges when becoming a special education teacher, Interaction outside the Classroom, Teacher's Role in Special Education, Collaboration with Parents, Evaluation and Assessment of Children's Progress." Based on the results of the researcher's findings, the researcher found several similarities in the two subjects, namely on Interaction outside the hard, Teacher's role in special education, collaboration with parents, and evaluation and assessment of children's progress. In order to obtain an overview of the results of research on the role of SLB teachers in stimulating education and emotional development in special needs children at SLB-B Nergeri Pembina Palembang, the researcher describes the results of the data that researchers get from the two subjects during the data collection process in the field.
