Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using a rotating trio exchange strategy on student learning outcomes. The benefits in this study are to improve student learning outcomes. This research was at the Ujung Tanjung kecamatan MTS Al-Hijrah. Tulung Selected 2017/2018 academic year. The research method used is the experimental method with a quasi experimental design and pretest-posttest only control group design. The sample used in this study was 48 students. The sampling in this study is sampling Jenu. The chosen sample is class VIII 2 as the experimental class (class using the rotating trio exchange strategy) and VIII 1 control class (class using conventional learning models). Data collection techniques are taken from tests and observation sheets to see student learning outcomes. Analysis of the data from the pretest test obtained an average score for the experimental class that is equal to 53.54, while the control class is 47.71. The results of the average score for the experimental class posttest were 81.88 while the control class was 68.75. Data analysis using two group regression, t value obtained is 5.627 with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05, it can be concluded H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means the average value of learning outcomes of students taught using a rotating trio exchange learning strategy more higher than students who use conventional learning models. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of the rotating trio exchange strategy has an effect on student learning outcomes
