Abstract
Feeling of anxiety when study math causes stress and worry which is annoying in solving problem of math in many aspect of daily live although academic situation. The situation like this was named Math Phobia or fear of math. Accordibg to Nugraha (2006: 2), Math Phobia is anxiety in the eyes when math lesson and associated with it, such as anxiety when the teacher ask. Like wise that happen in MAN 1 Palembang, based on observation during class lesson. Student often feel experience anxiety in facing the math lesson. Which affect student learning outcomes. How to resolve the problem is by using strategy te ways to reduce math anxiety. Afterdoing the research in XI Science 1 class as control class and XI Science 2 class as experiment classcan be concluded based on criteria testing ttest. There are significant difences from the resultof study instudent Xi Science class on math lesson by using ten ways to reduce math anxiety strategy with using conventional methods in MAN 1 Palembang, these seen from t count > t table that is5, 23 > 1, 996 then hypothesis score n- gain is H1 accepted and Ho rejected. So, application of this ten ways to reduce math anxiety strategy giving the impact of learning outcomes is higher than the results of learning using conventional methods.
