Abstract
This thesis discusses the effectiveness of alarm sensor security gate in preventing bibliocrime in the library of IAIN Curup. This research is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. Methods of collecting data were questionnaires, observations, interviews and documentation. The population in this study was the entire librarian and information staff at the IAIN Curup Library consisting of 7 people. The validity test used is the Pearson product moment formula and the reliability test used is the Cronbach Alpha formula. The measurement of effectiveness in this research is based on the Likert scale. The results of this research show that the alarm sensor security gate in preventing bibliocrime in the library IAIN Curup is already effective according to the standard of a security alarm system. The average total value of all indicators in this study amounted to 3.38. in the score of interval between 3.43 – 4.23 = effective. In conclusion, the security gate alarm sensor in the IAIN Curup library is effectively used as a security system in preventing bibliocrime in the library.
