Abstract
This study discusses Coping Strategies in Mothers Who Have Children with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) Disorders in SLB-C Disability Development Foundation (YPAC) Palembang. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive designs. Subject selection technique is using purposive sampling with criteria, mothers who have children with ADHD disorders, aged 30 years and over, have children who are attending SLB-Foundation for the Development of Disabled Children (YPAC) Palembang. The data collection method uses the interview method, as well as observation and documentation. The results of this study generally show an overview of the coping strategies of the two subjects using emotion focused coping strategies, namely, accepting responsibility, self control, escape evoidance, distance and Positive Reappraisal (Positive Assessment). In problem focused coping strategies (problem focus coping) that is, seeking information support (seeking information support), and planful problem solving (planned problem solving) other forms of coping strategies on one subject namely religious coping by being patient and praying.
