Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship betweeninternet addiction and learning achievement. DuringtheCOVID-19 pandemic, the internet was used as a mediumof learning as well as entertainment for students, whichmadestudents often use the internet. The interactions that occur continuously can lead to internet addiction in students. Theresearch method is correlational quantitative. The researchsubjects were 81 students of class XII who were selectedbycluster random technique. The research instrument usedwas the internet addiction scale and the report cards of XII grade student’s. The results of the analysis using SpearmanRank with the help of SPSS version 22 for windows showedthat there was a relationship between internet addictionandlearning achievement, with a significance value (0.006<0.05), r = -0.302 and a fairly or strong enough level of correlation strength. The direction of the relationshipbetween the variables of internet addiction and learningachievement is negative. So that the higher students' internet addiction will be followed by lowstudent achievement. conversely, the lower students' internet addiction will increase student’s learning achievement.
