Abstract
This tehsis is entitle “Analysisof The Daily Media Convergence Of Palembang Pos In The Digital Age”The digital age is closely related to the tsunami of information. The development of internet and communication technology, slowly affects people‟s culture and habits. This condition is directly propotional to the growth of digital-based media, which offers speed and convenience. So that the print media began to be left behind by the reader. Departing of these conditions, Palembang Pos seeks efforts to maintainits existence, by conducting media convergence. The purpose of this research is to find out how the convergence of media conducted by Palembang Pos in facing competition in the digital era and obstacles faced. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis. Qualitative research is a comprehensive research that intends to understand the phenomena experienced by research subjects, be it their behavior, perceptions, motivation or actions which are described in the form of words. While the qualitative descriptive analysis technique is to analyze, obstacles, describe, and summarize various conditions, situations from the data collected in accordance with the problem under study. The results showed Palembang Pos which was originally a newspaper did media convergence by establishing an online portal Palpos.id. In this implementation of media convergence Palembang Pos adopted three convergence models, namely the convergence of newsgathering, newsroom, and content.The problem with Palembang Pos is the adaptability of journalists.
