Abstract
Learning motivation means that it is important for each individual to have in their learning activities. Motivation will give encouragement and foster the enthusiasm of students to study many things, especially Biology lessons. By the motivation to learn, students will try to study it seriously so as to achieve the learning objectives. Research this study aims to determine the results of learning motivation in Biology subjects at SMA/MA. This type of research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The number of samples taken this study was 30 students with purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, quationnaries totaling 30 interview statements and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistical analysis and the rasch model. The results obtained indicate that the level of learning motivation of students in Biology subject is in the medium category with a percentage of 70.00% with the rasch model showing that there are six items that are misfit and the persons reliability is in the good category. Keywords: learning motivation, biology learning Motivasi belajar artinya hal yang penting dimiliki oleh setiap individu didalam aktivitas belajarnya. Motivasi akan memberi dorongan serta menumbuhkan semangat peserta didik untuk mengkaji banyak hal khususnya pelajaran Biologi. Maka dengan adanya motivasi belajar, peserta didik akan berupaya dalam mempelajarinya dengan bersungguh-sungguh sehingga mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil motivasi belajar pada mata pelajaran Biologi di SMA/MA. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 30 peserta didik dengan teknik pengambilan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, angket yang berjumlah 30 pernyataan, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan Rasch model. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa tingkat motivasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Biologi berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase sebesar 70,00% dengan rasch model menunjukkan bahwa terdapat enam item pernyataan angket yang kurang sesuai dan reliabilitas person berada pada kategori bagus.
