Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and consumptive behavior towards clothing products. This study uses correlational quantitative methods and data collection techniques using a scale. The population of this study were all students of the 2020 Faculty of Psychology, UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. This study uses purposive sampling as a sampling technique and the sample in this study was a student of the 2020 Faculty of Psychology UIN Raden Fatah Palembang who met the established criteria. The sample in this study amounted to 112 people. The instrument used are a self-concept scale based on aspects of Hurlock and a consumptive behavior scale based on aspects of Assauri. The results of data analysis using Pearson's product moment using SPSS version 24 application showed a relationship between self-concept and consumptive behavior with r = -0.676 with p = 0.000 (p<0.05).
