Abstract
The aim of this research was to determine the correlation between body image and eating behavior in female students grade X at SMA Negeri 7 Palembang. The sampling technique in this research used a random sampling technique by looking at a table developed by Isaac and Michael with a population of 210 female students at an error level of 5%, so a sample of 131 female students was obtained. This research uses correlational quantitative methods with Pearson product moment analysis. The scales used in this study are the body image scale made based on the body image dimension from Cash (2002) and the Eating Behavior Scale made based on the dimension of eating behavior from Strien (1986). The overall statistical calculation is done with the help of SPSS version 25.00 for Windows. According to the findings of the research, the magnitude of the correlation coefficient between body image and eating behavior was r = 0.335 with a significance of 0.000 and a p value of 0.05, indicating that the image of the body and eating behavior in SMA Negeri 7 Palembang students had a significant relationship.
