Abstract

The aim of this study was to know the effect of project-based learning stragegy to increase the students intelligence of methematical-logical at MTs Fajar Siddiq Palembang. The type of this research was true experimental design with pretest-posttest contol group design. The population of this study was all of students at VIII grade in MTs Fajar Siddiq Palembang in 2013/2014 academic years. The population consists of three classes with 87 students. From three classes population were taken two classes and it was chosen randomly, it was VIII.1 which consisted of 32 students as experimental group and VIII.2 which consisted of 25 students as control group. This study was done during six meetings in experimental and control groups. For the first meeting, experimental group was done by pretest to know students’ intelligence in mathematical-logical before they was given a treatment. And the second meeting until fifth meetings was given a treatment, and sixth meeting was done by posttest that was to know mathematical-logical students’ intelligence after they was given a treatment. In control group, the strategy is the same as experimental, the differences was the treatment that was given on the two classes in control group was given by conventional strategy with lecture method not project-based learning. The research data was taken by a test. A test was to know the students’ mathematical-logical intelligence after learning process. Based of result analysis and study, it can be concluded by the studentsintelligence of mathematical-logical during applied project-based learning strategi was ttest = 5,202 > ttabel = 2,005 so the (H0) was rejected, it means that there was a improvement students intelligence of mathematical-logical after using project-besed learning strategy at VIII.grade studentsof MTs Fajar Siddiq Palembang.
