Abstract
Interior design for library is the one of many factors of the comfortable for library’s members that purposes for make visitor’s interest, but most of the library not pay attention to that. The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of interior design for library to the comfortable degree for library’s members, the interior design covers room management, bright illumination, and temperature, by researched as partial and simultaneously. The method that used on this research was quantitative approach, researchers did observation, interview, and spread questioner to library members. The population that taken on this research was proposive sampling and counting by used slovin formula. Then, analysis used was product moment method and simple regression. The result of this research known the value of r as 0,773 in strong cluster and positive that’s mean there are any relationship between interior design for library to the comfortable degree for library’s members in the result of comparison simple regression value, Y= 7,683 + 0.737.X, with regression coefficient b = 0,737 indicated added the comfortable degree for library’s members for interior design assessment. The final result of hypothesis did by used t-test with error 5%, acquired t_table = 1,664. If t_hitung = 10,9 > t_table = 1,664, Ho rejected and for the significant influence between interior design with the comfortable degree for library’s members in the University of PGRI Palembang’s library.
