Abstract
This research aims to determine the Relationship between Perceptions of Parenting Style and Emotional Intelligence during Covid-19 Pendemic of Class VIII SMP IT Tunas Cendikia Baturaja. The type of research used is quantitative. The sample in this research amounted to 47 teenagers, the selection of subjects using a total sampling technique. The research instrument used was Emotional Intelligence scale with Perceived Parenting Patterns scale which was analyzed with the help of SPSS Version 23 for MacOs program. The results of the correlations analysis of the relationship or the value of the correlation coefficient between perceptions of parenting style and the correlated emotional intelligence variable were 0.479 with a significance value of 0.001 from the table where (p < 0.05) then (sig = 0.001 < 0.05). These results indicated that there was a relationship between perceptions of parenting style with emotional intelligence in class VIII SMP IT Tunas Cendikia Baturaja. It could be concluded that the hypothesis proposed that there was a relationship between perceptions of parenting style and students' emotional intelligence during the Covid-19 pandemic class VIII SMP IT Tunas Cendikia was proven and acceptable.
