Abstract
This development research aims to describe the steps for developing PMRI-based LKPD using the context of traditional South Sumatran musical instruments in relation and function material to measure students' mathematical communication skills that meet the valid, practical, and effective criteria. The model used is ADDIE: (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, (5) Evaluation. The subjects of this study were 16 students of class VIII at SMP LTI IGM Palembang. The instrument used to measure the validity aspect of this LKPD is an assessment questionnaire by material experts, media experts, and linguists. To measure the practicality aspect using a questionnaire for assessing student responses. To measure the effectiveness and measure the mathematical communication skills of students using the test of student learning outcomes. The validity of the LKPD is assessed from the assessment of experts with a maximum score of 5 for each statement by the validator, namely material experts, media experts, and linguists. This LKPD is given a percentage of 87.46 and is categorized as Very Valid, so that the LKPD can be tested. The practicality of the LKPD based on the student response questionnaire in the large group trial with a percentage of 75.62 is categorized as Practical. The effectiveness of the developed LKPD and students' mathematical communication skills in terms of the learning outcomes test scores obtained the percentage of completeness of 75.46 categorized as Good and the students' scores have met the indicators of high mathematical communication skills so that the effectiveness of the developed LKPD has a potential effect on students' mathematical communication skills educate.
