Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between work stress and counterproductive work behavior for teachers at UPT SMA Negeri 3 Palembang. The research method used in this research is correlational quantitative. The subject of this research is the teacher of UPT SMA Negeri 3 Palembang. The sample of this study was 80 teachers who were taken by total sampling technique. The results of data analysis using simple regression analysis (assisted by SPSS version 26) show that the work stress variable has a significant relationship with the counterproductive work behavior variable. The correlation coefficient obtained is 0.302 and the R square value is 0.091, so the simple regression equation can be written as Y= 0.3022 X 100% = 9.12%. Then the work stress variable is able to predict counterproductive work behavior of 9.12% and the remaining 90.78% is influenced by other variables outside this study. Based on these calculations, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the work stress variable and the counterproductive work behavior variable.
