Abstract

ABSTRACT Google classroom is an online learning platform that can support students’ reading activities. This research was conducted to find out the students' perceptions on the use of Google Classroom in reading activities at SMK Negeri 3 Kayuagung. This study was employed by using a qualitative research design. The participants of this study were 11th grade from Multimedia class which consisted of six students by employing maximal variation samplings. The data were collected by using interview with the participants to know their perceptions on the use of Google Classroom in their reading activities. The interview session was recorded and transcribed. The findings showed that there were positive and negative perceptions on the use Google Classroom in reading activities. They are: (1) a flexible learning application, (2) a more innovative learning, (3) lack of students interaction, (4) unstable internet service and cost.
