Abstract
The goal of this research is to know "The Relationship between Volunteer Motivation and Organizational Commitment in Palembang KSR PMI Volunteers." The research subjects were 156 KSR PMI volunteers spread across the city of Palembang. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling, based on a population of 286 volunteers. The data collection method used two scale instruments, namely the Volunteer Motivation scale developed by Clary et al. (1998) with a total of 29 items (0.959) and the Organizational Commitment scale compiled based on the theory of Mowday et al. (1979) with a total of 40 items (0.911). All statements in the scale were compiled using the Likert scale model. Data analysis was carried out using the Pearson's Product Moment Correlation technique with the help of the SPSS version 30 for MacOS program. Based on the results of the statistical analysis, it shows that there is a significant relationship between Volunteer Motivation and Organizational Commitment in Palembang KSR PMI Volunteers. The results of this study are proven by obtaining a correlation coefficient value showing a figure of 0.606, with a significance value of <0.001 which indicates that there is a significant relationship between Volunteer Motivation and Organizational Commitment in KSR PMI Palembang volunteers.
