Abstract

Islamic religious education is a conscious effort made by educators to guide their students so that the competencies that exist in these students can develop and be implemented in daily life based on the Qur'an and As-Sunnah. In the world of education, one of the teaching media to convey education is textbooks. The textbooks here consist of several sub-discussions and some of these sub-discussions contain the value of religious moderation. Religious moderation is a perspective, attitude, and behavior that always takes a middle position, always acts fairly, and does not go to extremes, both extreme right and extreme left in religion. This type of research is a content analysis. The method used in this research is library research. library research, namely the author tries to obtain data and information through library literature, magazines, and articles related to the problem, which is followed by writing, editing, clarifying, reducing, and presenting. Data collection techniques can use organizing and finding. In library research, the technique used in exploring and collecting relevant data is documentation. In addition to documentation, to answer the questions in the second problem formulation, researchers used interview techniques. The results of this study are that there are three main values of religious moderation in Islamic Religious Education textbooks for class XII SMA, namely unity in diversity and democracy, the mercy of Islam for the archipelago, and the mercy of Islam for the universe. The form of delivering the values of religious moderation in Islamic Religious Education textbooks for class XII SMA is divided into two versions including online and offline versions. For the online version with the lecture method, question and answer and discussion, as well as in offline learning, the only difference between offline and online is that online, students are not given question cards, but in offline learning, students are given question cards. Furthermore, the implementation of learning the value of religious moderation in class XII SMA is through the insertion aspect or through the strengthening method. In addition to the insertion aspect, the implementation of learning the value of religious moderation in class XII SMA is also embedded in student organization forums such as OSIS and ROHIS.
