Abstract
Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of religiosity and mental toughness on competition anxiety in futsal athletes. The method used is correlational quantitative method. The research subjects were 85 futsal athletes with all population technique. The instrument used is the religiosity scale adapted from Amalia et al (2021), the mental toughness and competition anxiety scale adapted from Ikhram et al (2022). The results of the analysis of the data obtained through multiple linear regression techniques (with the help of SPSS version 25) obtained a significance value of 0.022 which indicates that there is an influence between religiosity and mental toughness with competition anxiety. the first hypothesis with a significance value of 0.280 indicates that there is negative no effect of religiosity on competition anxiety. Then the second hypothesis is a significance value of 0.020 indicating that there is an negative effect of mental toughness with competition anxiety. Meanwhile, with the effective contribution of the religiosity variable, mental toughness to competition anxiety is 9.8%, while the remaining 91.2% is other factors.
