Abstract

Motivation is a stimulus that makes students willing to exert their abilities, energy and time to achieve learning goals. Motivation is very necessary because those who are motivated will get good learning outcomes than those who aren’tmotivated to learn. This study aimed to determine the relationship between learning motivation and student’s learning outcomes in Biology subjects in gradeX IPA SMA/MA during the pandemic. This type of research is a quantitative research that is correlation or relationship. The sample members were taken in this study as many as 64 students by random sampling technique. The data collection technique used was in the form of a statement totaling 30 statements in the form of a Likert scale and documentation. Data analysis using Product Moment correlation test. Based on the results of data analysis carried out, it was found that their learning motivation was categorized as moderate as much as 66% and their learning outcomes are in the moderate category, namely as much as 45%. There is a significant and positive relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes obtained from a significance value of 0.000<0.05. The correlation coefficient has a close relationship level of 0.526 which means that the correlation is moderate. Keywords: learning outcomes, learning motivation, pandemic period ABSTRAK Motivasi merupakan pendorong yang membuat peserta didik ingin dan rela mengerahkan kemampuan, tenaga dan waktunya dalam rangka mencapai tujuan belajar. Motivasi sangat diperlukan karena mereka yang termotivasi akan mendapat hasil belajar yang bagus daripada mereka yang tidak memiliki motivasi belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam mata pelajaran Biologi kelas X IPA SMA/MA pada masa pandemi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang bersifat korelasi atau hubungan. Anggota sampel diambil dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 64 peserta didik dengan teknik pengambilan random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa angket berjumlah 30 pernyataan dalam bentuk skala likert dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Product Moment. Dari hasil analisis data yang dilakukan, didapatkan bahwa motivasi belajar mereka terkategori sedang yaitu sebanyak 66%. dan hasil belajar mereka berada dalam kategori sedang yaitu sebanyak 45%. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar yang didapat dari nilai signifikansi 0,000 ≤ 0,05. koefisien korelasi terdapat tingkat keeratan hubungan sebesar 0,526 yang artinya korelasi sedang.
