Abstract

This study aims to detemine the effect of the Contextual Taching and Learning (CTL)model on students’ mathematical connection abilities. This type of research is true experimental and the research design used is Posstest-Only Control Group Design. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of MTs Miftahul Huda Cinta Karya. The samples used were two class VIII which contained and experimental class and a control class with a total of 24 stodents. The sampling technique used in this research is saturated sampling. The data collection technique used is a test. The data analysis technique used is t-test using Microsoft Excel. Based on the result of the study, the average value of learning outcomes in the experimental class was 59,0909 and the control class was 34,2308. So that rthe result of the analysis which states that is not located in the area receiving , with the test criteria that reject if . Thus, it can be concluted thet there is an effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model on students’ mathematical connection abilities.
