Abstract

This research is a quantitative experimental research that aims to determine whether there is an effect of the Proposing and Problem Solving Learning Model (JUCAMA) on Students' Creative Thinking Ability. The population of this study were all seventh grade students at Mts Al-Amalul Khair Palembang and the sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class, which were taken by cluster random sampling. The research was carried out for each of four meetings which were divided into three learning meetings and one posttest meeting. Collecting data using a written test and the test results were tested using the normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing. Data analysis showed that the data were not normally distributed and to test the hypothesis using a nonparametric statistical test, namely the Mann Whitney U Test. The results obtained are Z_hit=-4,227 and Z_tabel = 1.96, because the value of Z_hit=-4,227 is greater than Z_tabel (4,227> 1.96), then H_0 is rejected and H_a is accepted.
