Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang penerapan model pembelajaran REACT dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di kelas VIII MTs As-Salam Palembang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjawab pertanyaan bagaimana kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebelum dan setelah penerapan model pembelajaran REACT, serta apakah terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran REACT terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di kelas VIII MTs As-Salam Palembang. Jenis peneliatian yang digunakan yaitu jenis penelitian kuantitatif berbasis eksperimen. Sumber data primer dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah, Guru Fikih, dan peserta didik kelas VIII. Metode pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi, wawancara, tes dan dokumentasi, teknik analisis data dengan cara uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII MTs As-Salam Palembang sebelum penerapan model pembelajaran REACT meliputi 3 kategori, yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi ada 3 orang dengan persentase 10%, yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang ada 12 orang dengan persentase 39%, dan yang termasuk dalam kategori rendah ada 16 orang dengan persentase 51%. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII MTs As-Salam Palembang setelah penerapan model pembelajaran REACT meliputi 3 kategori, yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi ada 15 orang dengan persentase 48%, yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang ada 9 orang dengan persentase 29%, dan yang termasuk dalam kategori rendah ada 7 orang dengan persentase 23%. Hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan uji “t” menunjukkan bahwa nilai t0 lebih besar dari pada tt, maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran REACT terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII MTs As-Salam Palembang. Kata kunci: Model pembelajaran REACT, kemampuan berpikir kritis ABSTRACT This study examines the application of the REACT learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills in class VIII of MTs As-Salam Palembang. The purpose of this study was to answer the question of how students' critical thinking skills were before and after the application of the REACT learning model, and whether there was an effect of applying the REACT learning model to students' critical thinking skills in class VIII MTs As-Salam Palembang. The type of research used is experimental-based quantitative research. The primary data sources in this study were the principal, fiqh teacher, and class VIII students. Methods of collecting data by means of observation, interviews, tests and documentation, data analysis techniques by means of t test. The results showed that the critical thinking ability of VIII grade students of MTs As-Salam Palembang before the application of the REACT learning model included 3 categories, which included in the high category there were 3 people with a percentage of 10%, which included in the medium category there were 12 people with a percentage of 39%, and those included in the low category were 16 people with a percentage of 51%. The critical thinking ability of class VIII MTs As-Salam Palembang after the application of the REACT learning model includes 3 categories, which are included in the high category with a percentage of 48%, in the medium category there are 9 people with a percentage of 29%, and those included in the high category are in the low category there are 7 people with a percentage of 23%. The results of hypothesis testing with the "t" test show that the value of t0 is greater than tt, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of the application of the REACT learning model on the critical thinking skills of eighth grade students of MTs As-Salam Palembang.
