Abstract

The heavy metal copper (Cu) is a toxic heavy metal. Excess copper (Cu) in the body occurs due to the presence of contents that have been processed for years as a result of environmental factors. Environmental factors, one of which is the Jatiwaringin waste landfill (TPA) area, are the most important factor in the accumulation of the heavy metal copper (Cu). One of the biomarkers used to determine levels of copper (Cu) accumulation in the body is hair. The aim of this research is to determine the amount of heavy metal accumulation in the hair of residents around the Jatiwaringin Waste Landfill area. Purposive random sampling was conducted with the criteria of age 30-50 years, length of stay in the area ± 30 years, not suffering from comorbid diseases, and willingness to become research respondents. There were 11 hair samples that met the criteria, then the samples were deconstructed using concentrated HNO3 and concentrated HCLO4 solutions. Then the concentration of copper (Cu) in the hair will be measured using AAS with a wavelength of 217-218 nm. From the measurement results, the highest value of copper (Cu) accumulation was obtained in sample code KS 5 of 29.376 mg/L, and the lowest value of copper accumulation was in sample code KS 7 with a result of 0.3138 mg/L. Where the threshold of heavy metal copper (Cu) according to WHO is ≤ 1.2 mg/L. And there are 8 respondents who exceed the established threshold (KS 1, KS 2, KS 3, KS 4, KS 5, KS 8, KS 10, KS 11) And the respondents (KS 6, KS 7, KS 9) are still safe or below the threshold. Logam berat tembaga (Cu) merupakan logam berat yang beracun, kelebihan tembaga (Cu) dalam tubuh terjadi akibat adanya konsentrasi yang telah berproses selama bertahun-tahun sebagai akibat dari faktor lingkungan. Faktor lingkungan salah satunya daerah Tempat pembungan Sampah (TPA) Jatiwaringin menjadi faktor terpenting dari terjadinya akumulasi logam berat tembaga (Cu). Salah Satu biomareker yang digunkan untuk menentukan kadar akumulasi tembaga (Cu) dalam tubuh adalah rambut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jumlah kadar akumulasi logam berat pada rambut penduduk di sekitar daerah TPA Sampah Jatiwaringin. Dengan pengambilan sampel yang dilakukan secara Purposive random sampling dengan kriteria usia 30 – 50 tahun, lama tinggal di daerah tersebut ± 30 tahun, tidak menderita penyakit komorbit, dan bersedia menjadi responden penelitian. Ada 11 sampel rambut yang memenuhi kriteria, lalu dillakukan destruksi ada sampel menggunakan larutan HNO3 pekat dan HCLO4 pekat. Yang kemudian konsentrasi tembaga (Cu) dalam rambut akan di ukur intensitasnnya menggunakan AAS dengan panjang gelombang 217 – 218 nm.Dari hasil penukuran diperoleh nilai tertinggi dari akumulasi tembaga (Cu) pada kode sampel KS 5 sebesar 29,376 mg/L dan nilai terrendah akumulasi tembaga ada pada kode sampel KS 7 dengan hasil 0,3138 mg/L. Dimana ambang batas dari logam berat tembaga (Cu) menurut WHO adalah ≤ 1,2 mg/L. Dan terdapat 8 responden yang melebihi dari ambang batas yang ditetapkan (KS 1, KS 2, KS 3, KS 4, KS 5, KS 8, KS 10, KS 11) Dan pada responden (KS 6, KS 7, KS 9) yang masih aman atau dibawah ambang batas.
